Waste to Energy
Waste to Energy, or WTE, typically involves the conversion of solid waste to energy resulting in the generation of electricity from the recovered heat, and/or the generation of hot water or steam to be used for community-based industrial, commercial or residential heating applications.
This cutting edge technology involves gasification of waste whereby waste streams are gasified in a high temperature, oxygen deficient atmosphere, producing a high BTU content synthetic gas (syngas). The gasification process has the added benefit that it is able to handle multiple fuel streams such as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), industrial waste, hazardous waste, etc. This syngas stream is subsequently refined by using a plasma which results in a purified syngas stream which could be used directly in other processes, used as a fuel in a thermal power plant or also be converted to other products such as fuel cells for energy storage and continual and continuous energy production. The main output of the process is a refined, high BTU syngas stream capable of being used either as a fuel or as feedstock for other processes.
Power plants, systems and facilities such as these have significant positive impacts where they are implemented. Not only are wastes of the region eliminated, they are actually converted into useful product and byproducts that are used to rebuild and fortify the regions from which they have come. The state of the art technologies being used are able to harness the energy previously lost to the atmosphere thereby resulting in a more efficient and beneficial system for all.
The entire process is fairly new, unique, cost-effective and promising. Our plan is to work together to introduce this technology into Government and Private entrepreneurs, wherein we would jointly be System Integrators and/or Project Developers, who would be able to design and integrate the Refining and Conversion System to the concerned authorities who in turn shall be responsible for the ownership of the project.
The consortium has the opportunity to provide consultancy for such projects in addition to the engineering design, development of balance of plant systems including controls & automation, project management, construction monitoring, testing, commissioning and handing over to client.
